Adelaide:

Brisbane:
Daniel Rich’s 2013 NAB Cup campaign has certainly attracted the attention of the wider football community.

Carlton:
The Blues are taking an ultra-cautious approach with first-choice tall forward Jarrad Waite.

Collingwood:
The AFL’s oldest rookie-listed player is set to be promoted to Collingwood’s seniors list tomorrow.

Essendon:
Bombers midfielder David Zaharakis is in line to play Friday night’s opening game despite a severely restricted preparation.

Fremantle:
Dockers youngster Lachie Neale has put his hand up for selection in a stacked Fremantle team for the season-opening western derby against West Coast after a superb display in the WAFL for Swan Districts against East Fremantle.

Geelong:
The club has set its sights on a blockbuster season opener against Hawthorn, saying its pre-season campaign has left it with no excuses but to hit the season running.

Gold Coast:
Jesse Lonergan will have to wait a little longer for his AFL debut after the Gold Coast Suns announced that he had sustained a broken wrist in Saturday’s practice match.

Greater Western Sydney:
Kevin Sheedy has ramped up the mind games ahead of the round one clash with the Sydney Swans, warning the reigning premiers to disrespect his Giants at their peril.

Hawthorn:
Forward Jack Gunston says the 81-point win over North Melbourne on Saturday has given the Hawks a confidence boost heading into its Round 1 blockbuster against Geelong.

Melbourne:
Despite  humid conditions, two rotations down and two backmen out, co-captain Jack Grimes was still able to take some positives from the 25-point loss to Gold Coast at Southport on Saturday.

North Melbourne:
Taylor Hine will be available for selection in Round 1 after his match-day report was dropped.

Port Adelaide:
Port Adelaide’s injury-plagued forward John Butcher has had another setback, with scans expected to confirm he has suffered a small crack in a wrist.

Richmond:
Talented utility Shane Edwards is confident the hard-fought wins Richmond secured during the AFL’s pre-season series will produce a positive flow-on effect for the team going into the 2013 premiership season.

St Kilda:
Nick Dal Santo is committed to playing for St Kilda next season and is all but certain to do so, despite featuring on the list of free agents sent to clubs by the AFL last week.

Sydney:
Swans defender Alex Johnson will undergo a traditional knee reconstruction late next week after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

West Coast:
Eagles skipper Darren Glass is confident his team has the depth to cover for a host of injuries in Saturday’s AFL first round showdown with Fremantle.

Western Bulldogs:
Strategy and Opposition Coach Brett Montgomery says the Western Bulldogs are better equipped to compete for sustained periods this season, evidenced in an improved NAB Cup campaign.
